Choose useful putts before adding size.

Think about how you practice now: short putts around a cup, longer lines across the green or chips from the edge. Discuss where you would stand and how the cup positions could offer different putts within the available space.

Keep space for the patio, a walking route and other yard activities. If you want to chip, include the approach area and the direction of play in the first drawing. Product choice and the available space need to suit those shots.
