HB25-1113 wrote a definition of functional artificial turf that names driving ranges, tee boxes and chipping and putting greens outright (HB25-1113). Most of Inverness is office campus and shared grounds, which is exactly what Colorado's turf law reaches. From 1 January 2026, no local government may allow non-functional turf in a new HOA common-area, commercial or institutional project (SB24-005, since amended by HB25-1113). A strip of green by a lobby, there only to look nice, is what the rule targets; a putting green, a playground or a sports field is not. Arapahoe County, not a city, applies that law in Inverness. If your home is in a condominium or townhome association, its board, and your building's management, will want to approve turf too, so have both approvals on paper before you commit to a layout.
