Watering is limited to no more than three days a week, only between 6 p.m. and 10 a.m., on a schedule set by your address: even-numbered addresses water Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and odd-numbered addresses water Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. A leaking sprinkler head has to be fixed within ten days, and hosing down a driveway or patio with water isn't allowed except for a public health or safety reason. None of that schedule touches a converted backyard once the turf is down. There's no address parity to track, no ten-day repair clock on a system that isn't there, and nothing to check before deciding whether today is a watering day — because it never is one. - ### Drought Watch Since February 2026, a voluntary Drought Watch asks for two watering days a week, and it can change without much notice. Broomfield declared a Drought Watch on 9 February 2026. It's voluntary: the city asks residents to limit watering to no more than two days a week, tighter than the Water Use Ordinance's three-day cap but not enforced the way that ordinance is. As of today, mandatory restrictions aren't in place. A Drought Watch is also the kind of thing that can change without much notice, as snowpack and deliveries shift through the season.
